Thanks to its memorable 84-year-old giant milk bottle facade, this enchanting diner is a landmark in Spokane. Mary Lou’s Milk Bottle is a must-visit, especially if you’re in town for the first time. As you may suspect by the milk bottle exterior, Mary Lou’s specialty is dairy. They serve more than 20 different flavors of tasty milkshakes and ice cream.

Mary Lou’s also makes excellent burgers, served on their freshly baked French bread. Mary Lou’s is an affordable spot to grab a bite and a shake. The Flying Goat

This gastropub is known for its delicious Neapolitan pizza. The Flying Goat’s interior evokes the eastern Washington aesthetic perfectly. They’ve decked out the pub with fire pits and wood accents throughout the space, using wood from an old grain elevator. They have a comprehensive draft list stocked with classic standards and local favorite brews from Hidden Mother Brewery. You can enjoy a cold brew while bravely taking on the Devil’s Toenails Wings.

Their taco list is extensive, and if you’re dining at Cochinito Taqueria for the first time, you need to try their Heritage Doruc pork cheek carnitas taco. You can also opt for the equally yummy pork belly tacos. Their taco meals include rice and beans. Order a side of braised pork pozole if you have enough room for this delectable treat.

The Davenport has hosted some famous guests over the years, including John F. Kennedy, Clark Gable, and Amelia Earhart. On the menu, you’ll find flatbreads, burgers, and sandwiches. Peacock Room Lounge

This jewel of Spokane has a stunning 5,000-piece stained-glass ceiling of peacock feathers, while the rest of the decor is fun, flamboyant, sophisticated, and designed to evoke the Jazz Age. One of the Peacock Room Lounge’s signature items is an appetizer of Cougar Gold cheese dip, a combination of roasted garlic, shallots, and multiple melted cheeses served with pepperoncinis and warm toasted bread on the side. Try their tender prime rib French dip sandwich on their fresh house-made toasted baguette, with fries, au jus, and a creamy horseradish sauce for the perfect dinner.
