As the local situation develops regarding COVID-19, we understand that our customers are interested in our response and actions in how we look after them and their Hyundai’s

We have updated our operational hours. Effective immediately until further notice, Spokane Hyundai will be closed Sundays. We remain open to serve you in-store Monday-Friday 9 am-7 pm, Saturday 9 am-6 pm and Online 24 hrs a day. Our Parts and Service Departments will be closed on Saturdays beginning March 28th. We're here Monday-Friday 7:30 AM- 5:00 PM for your convenience.

Our staff are here ready to take your calls, book your appointments, and look after your vehicle service or sales needs. We are here for you.  In-Service, our customers are loving the EASY Service Program, giving you the ease of service without stepping foot in the store.

SERVICE DEPARTMENT: While we’ll miss seeing your friendly face around here, as an added benefit to customers, we are offering an EASY SERVICE program. When you book your service, you can arrange to drop off your vehicle using our secure after-hours lockbox. Your Service Coordinator will be in touch regarding your vehicle’s service via telephone. Once the service is complete, we can arrange payment over the phone. Pick up is as easy as letting us know when you’ve arrived on our lot. Please note this option needs to be arranged beforehand.  Simply ask on our team when booking your next appointment.

SALES DEPARTMENT: For test drives, we will be sanitizing frequently touched surfaces on our vehicles (such as door handles, steering wheels, gear shift knob, and seat belts) before all trips.

Since our last communication, Spokane Hyundai has added a robust social distancing policy to our healthy workplace protocols. Prevention is of the utmost importance to us, resulting in a safe place for you to shop for a new or pre-owned vehicle, purchase parts, and service your vehicle.

Social Distancing Policy

Spokane Hyundai is implementing these social distancing guidelines effective immediately to minimize the spread of COVID-19 in our community:

Employees are advised to:

  • Avoid meeting people face-to-face. Employees are encouraged to use the telephone, online conferencing, e-mail, or instant messaging to conduct business as much as possible, even when staff are in the same building.
  • If face-to-face interaction is unavoidable, the interactions should be for a minimum period, in large areas, and should sit at least 6 feet from each other and at least at arm's length.
  • Avoid person-to-person contact, such as shaking hands.
  • Avoid unnecessary travel for pleasure. Cancel or postpone any such trip, as well as nonessential meetings, gatherings, and training sessions.
  • Do not congregate in the lunchroom, parts, accounting, and other small rooms throughout the dealership.
  • Eat at your desk (non-customer facing staff) or away from others.
  • Encourage customers to utilize the night drop box (Easy Service) via phone and e-mail to minimize person-to-person contact. When items or parts must be collected in person, have them ready for fast pick-up or delivery.
  • Limit vendors and outside service providers from entering the building wherever possible.
  • Encourage the utilization of online booking, digital retailing tool, amazon for purchase of parts, etc.
  • Limit service shuttle occupants to 2 customers and the driver.  The use of the recirculation function in the shuttle is prohibited until further notice and windows must be at least cracked to give more ventilation.
  • Make use of borrowed car agreements for test drives.  Whenever possible, it is recommended to allow customers to test drive on their own.  If the salesperson does accompany the customers on a test drive, the use of the recirculation function in the shuttle is prohibited until further notice and windows must be at least cracked to give more ventilation.

Employees are encouraged to the extent possible to:

  • Avoid using public transportation during rush-hour crowding (walk, cycle, or drive a car whenever possible). Alternatively, if possible, adjust your schedule to commute early or late to avoid rush-hour crowding on public transportation.
  • Avoid recreational or other leisure classes, meetings, or activities where you might encounter contagious people.
  • Avoid handshaking as a means of greeting. Possible alternatives may include using a slight bow, elbow bump, or toe kick when greeting others.
  • Use only your clothed elbow to touch light switches, etc.
  • When opening doors (especially bathroom or other public area doors) or touching other public surfaces, use a paper towel, tissue, or disposable glove.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer when handwashing is not possible.
  • Use general surface cleaning products or wipes to clean commonly touched surfaces.

Other practical advice from the Department of Health includes encouraging employees and customers to:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water. If not available, use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home while you are sick and avoid close contact with others.
  • Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.

Our priority is to the health and safety of our customers and staff. In addition to Social distancing, we are following the noted protocols from the local health authorities and are taking the following actions.

  • Education and Information Regarding Handwashing for our staff and customers
  • Deploying hand sanitizers for customers and staff
  • Using disposable gloves during each vehicle interaction for our Valet and Technical staff
  • Using disinfectant on high touch areas in each vehicle we service
  • Reducing personal contact as much as possible (we encourage our team to bow, bump elbows or tap feet to greet each other and our customers)
  • Additional surface cleaning throughout the dealership is ongoing
  • If the Sun is out and temps are up, the doors and windows are open!

Finally, we remain committed to following the advice and direction of our public health officials. We feel fortunate to live in a city and state with world-class health care professionals. We admire their front-line work and will follow their direction to uphold our first priority of looking after the safety of our staff and customers. If you work in health care or on the front lines - Thank You!
